Dixie Mae Lewis was born on May 8, 1942, to the parentage of Andrew Fobbs, Sr. and Ollie Fobs in Crockett, Texas. She was reared by her parents in the Simon Spring Community of Crockett, Texas. Dixie was the second oldest of six children. Dixie received her formal education in the crockett Public Schools and graduated from Crockett High School. Dixie united with Pleasant Grove Baptist church at an early age and after relocation to Fort Worth, Texas, she united with The Church At Philadelphia. Dixie was employed with The Courtyard at River Park for many years. Dixie departed this life, Monday, February 27, 2023. Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Julius Laroy Fobbs; brother, Andrew Fobbs, Jr. (Charlotte); four grandchildren, Keria Fobbe, Julius Wiley, Hayward Wile and Jasmine Bryant; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and other family.
