

Born on August 20, 1928, in Aubrey, Texas, Joyce was a longtime resident of the Fort Worth area. Alongside her late husband, Bob Calvert, she was the proud co-owner of Calverts, a unique and bustling clothing store in Haltom City Texas.
Joyce was a true social butterfly – vibrant, spirited, and always on the move. Her warmth and lively energy made her a natural hostess, and her home was often filled with laughter, music, and friends. She and Bob shared a love of camping and fishing, and together they created countless memories hosting their much-loved gospel singings. Joyce’s zest for life and deep affection for others kept her closely connected to her community and her large extended family throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dessie Marie (née Davis) Dennie; her husband Bob Earl Calvert; her beloved son-in-law Peter Philip Meier; and eight of her eleven siblings – Emmaline, J.W., Robert, Ray, Paul, Gerald, Beverly and Ronnie.
Joyce is survived by her devoted daughter, Delaina Meier; her granddaughters, Megan Meier and her husband Griffin Gregor; and Katelyn Murphy and her husband David Murphy; and her much adored great-grandson Ian Murphy. She also leaves behind two surviving siblings, Dessie Young and J.B. Dennie, along with a plethora of cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
