Mr. Pat Mathis was born on September 21, 1930 in Henderson. Texas to the parentage of Leroy and Nola Mathis, on Monday December 30. 2019, Mr. Pat answered the master’s call and transitioned from earth to glory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all (5) brothers and all (5) sisters , his wife, Lois Mathis, sons, Larry Mathis and Derrick Mathis, and Daughter Patsy Smith.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War.
Pat accepted Christ at an early age. He was a former member of Zion Rest Baptist Church and later, he regularly attended Samaria Baptist Church when his health allowed.
Pat Retired from Thomas Steel Drum Company after more than 40 years.
As the sun set on his life, Pat leaves to cherish his memory: Grandson, Michael Mathis, Quentin Smith, Andre Mathis, and Derrick Mathis, Jr.: Granddaughters, Lahoma Hunter, Lori Mathis, Alicen Mathis, and Angelica Mathis, Daughter-in-law, Alice Mathis, and Michelle Mathis: thirteen great grandchildren, nephews, niece, cousins, other family and friends.
