Phillip was born on July 3, 1926, in Sullivan County, Missouri, to Wayne Noah Britton and Effie Lavenia Britton. On February 21, 1948, Phillip married his wife of 73 years, Beverly. The couple made their home in Fort Worth, Texas, where they raised their son, Dana, and daughter, Tonja.
He was a steady and present father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He took great joy in helping raise his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always ready to support his family in any way he could. Known for his kind, easy going nature, Phillip was someone who went with the flow and offered quiet strength and reassurance to those he loved.
