RaeNell was born on November 24, 1951 to Rosabelle & Billy Ray Hardy. She was part of the first graduating class of Southwest High School and was known for her artistic abilities as well as loving to laugh and enjoying life. She went on to work with many special needs adults and children, which was her passion. RaeNell loved fishing, drawing, crafting, playing the guitar, singing, Elvis, and especially, joking around with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rosabelle Gutierrez Smith Hardy Williams and Billy Ray Hardy as well as her brother, Jim Robert Smith, RaeNell is survived by her husband, Charles Ables. She is also survived by her two sons, Billy Ray (Mara) and Alan and her four step-children, Leigh (David), Lynne (Ron), Muriel and Jessica.
In her big, beautiful, blended family, RaeNell was loved by so many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, aunts and others. These include but are certainly not limited to Autum (Jason), Ace (Meagan), Summer (Austin), Amaya, Kai, Brittany (William), Carissa (Mikey), Alyssa (Victor), Madison, Jacob, Riley Rae (Little Red to RaeNell’s Big Red), Avianna, Elaina, Alex, Thea, Zoey, Shannon, Rhonda, Michael, Caroline, Rebekah, Brandi, Kyler, Cheyenne, Hunter, Cody, Brittany (Dan), Hailey, RJ, Joey, Dylan, Ilyssa (Zachary), Luna, Mary (Joseph), Gunner, A.J., Scarlette, David, Jordan (Claire), Tina, Kay, Jo, Donna, and Jimmy.
