Ramona married John Allen, Jr. of Fort Worth at the age of 17. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage and service to the Lord together. He was the love of her life. Their life together was built on the Word of God, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and devotion to the church. This heritage of faithfulness was passed on to their children: Sharon Falkner (Joseph) of Payson, Arizona, Brenda Price (Myron) of Grand Bay, Alabama, and John Allen III of Fort Worth, Texas. A fourth child, Janet went to be with Jesus at the age of 2. She had 6 grandchildren: Karen Shultz (Ben), Julie Judd (Joshua), Kathy Falkner, John Price (Sarah), Jennifer Newton (Brad), and Kimberly Zirlott (Dennis). She had 15 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. There was no greater joy in her life than hearing that her family was growing in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Allen, Jr.; her parents, Edward Wells Dada, Sr. and Edna Daniel Dada; and her brother, Edward Wells Dada, Jr., and her sister, Ida May Leithner.
While her family was her foremost "hobby", she also loved to work in her flower garden. In later life, she loved to sit and watch birds outside her window. She loved the beauty of God's creation.
Her real heart for family, friends, church family, and even those she did not know was shown by her sharing God's blessing around the table at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Her house would be filled with love and good food she had worked hard to prepare. Servings others good food was a source of joy for her during over 20 years of employment at Colonial Cafeteria. She welcomed anyone who had need. Her home was open to not only her family and friends, but often, at these special times of the year, strangers she had met while shopping. They were invited not only into her home where they received physical nourishment, but saw the love of Christ and hear the Gospel of her Savior.
She leaves behind a lasting heritage of unconditional love and unwavering faithfulness to all that knew her and that were touched by her life. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed...Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." - Proverbs 31: 28-30
