

Raymond was born February 17, 1936 in Palestine, Texas. He lived a life defined by service, faith , and unwavering dedication to his family. After serving four proud years in the United States Air Force he returned home to Texas and began a career with the United States Postal Service. Through hard work and perseverance he made history as the first black postmaster in his community. An accomplishment that reflected both his integrity and his trailblazing spirit.
A devoted christian, Raymond was an active member of Legacy Church of Christ, where he found joy, purpose, and fellowship. His quiet strength and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.
Raymond leaves behind his loving wife, of 59 years, Jackie, and their children; Lisa, Anthony (Tina), Catherine, and Raymond (Laura). He was a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to eleven great grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.
He will be remembered for his humility, his faith, and the legacy he built through a lifetime of love and service.
