His parents preceded him in death while his older sister Jillian (Jill) is still alive.
After graduation, Bob learned the printing trade and worked as a pressman for over 40 years both in Illinois and Texas. After the printing industry declined Bob trained to become a security guard and worked in that field for another 10 years. He worked at the Ft. Worth Water Department and Dallas/Ft. Worth airport as a security guard, enjoying helping the public during their stressful personal moments. He saw his job as trying to ease the stress of difficult situations.
Bob led a simple life revolving around work and his love of sports. But although his life was uncomplicated, it was also impactful and important to those who knew him. He treated everyone with respect. He lived with integrity and always followed through with his promises. He was curious about the world and the people within it. His neighbors and fellow employees were better for having known him. Bob was content and happy with his life. Would that we all should be so lucky to end our lives in such grace! He will be missed by family and friends alike.
