Robert Ray Barbour

Service: 10 AM Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM Wednesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.

Robert was born February 16, 1932 in Fort Worth, TX to Harry and Irene Barbour. He graduated from Paschal High School and attended college at TCU. Robert retired in 1985 from his position as Captain of Fort Worth Fire Department Station 17, after a thirty year career. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for sixty years, as well as a member of the Moslah Temple Shrine and the Scottish Rite. In 1977 he was the President of the Moslah Drum and Bugle Corps. Most recently, he was a member of Smithfield Lodge #455 in North Richland Hills. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors: Wife of 35 years, Janis Barbour; daughter, Linda Kyle; step-daughters, Dee Bires (Keith Tyner), and Pat Wright (Dave); grandchildren, Melissa Cobb (Steven), Tiffany Madalone (Nick), Kenny Wright, Scott Jackson, and John Wright; and great grandchildren, Jayden, Shaun, Austin, Presley, Kobe, Tylar, and Avery.
