Roy was born March 7, 1925, in Jean, Texas, to Roy and Lela Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie Brooks; and two brothers, Travis and Houston.
Survivors: Children, Judy Willmett and husband, Hallie, Ron Brooks and wife, Tracy, Pat Gilbert and husband, Sam, Sara Davenport, and Billy Davenport and partner, Anthony Romero; grandchildren, Wendy Barrington and husband, Jamie, Wade Willmett and wife, Angela, Paul Brooks, Jarrod and wife, Adrianne, Billy Dilleshaw and wife, Sonya, and Darrell Laxson; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother; many close nieces and nephews; and loving extended family members and friends.
