Ms. Ruby had three sons who referred to her as “Mother.” Ms. Ruby was a loving and devoted mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor and caregiver to her community.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Reverend Major Howell and Essie Warren Howell, all her siblings, Mae Ruth Williams, Laura Smith, Golden Campbell, Fountain Howell, Eli Howell and her son Melvin Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons: Fate Jones (Benita) and Major S. Attaway (Terri). Grandchildren: Vetra Cooper (Cedric), Ruben Jones (Brianna), Melvin L. Jones (Sheena), Reginald Jones and Major M. Attaway. Thirteen great grandchildren. A special caregiver Kathy Jones. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
