When I was a little girl every time that we went over to Uncle Jessie Elwyn's and Aunt Ruby Dale's house I would beg her to play the Boogie Woogie on the piano!  I loved hearing her do that!

Ruby Dale, I met you in 1991 when Yvonne brought me home to meet her family. You and Jesse treated me like I was your very own family. Over the years Yvonne and I shared so many wonderful times with you and your family, I have memories with ALL of you! Precious memories with your sister LV, with Yvonne, meeting Don (I didn't know him well), sharing holidays, and all the times you, Jesse, and Yvonne gave me solace and assistance. I lost my own Mother in 1990, and Ruby, you were like having another Mother for me! It made the loss of my own easier to bear with the love and attention the Atchison family wrapped me in. 
I left Fort Worth in 2006, you Yvonne and I shared phone calls, and Yvonne's cousin Harold Wayne taught her how to send e-mails and use the computer. When Yvonne passed, Ruby and I kept up our weekly phone calls, Thank You again, Harold, for helping us to have a couple of really sweet video calls, before she passed.
Ruby you will be missed by so very many of us! I know you are at home with Yvonne and Jesse, my heart is at peace, I will be seeing you again when I get to come home.

I first met Mrs. Atchison when I was a shy little 6th grader (1965) and my mother brought me to Mrs. Atchison's house where I had come to take my first piano lesson. Mrs. Atchison had gone to the same church as we had.  She was so very nice to me and couldn't have been more welcoming and encouraging, and ever since then I have been so very, very fond of her.  Eventually, when I went to college, I went to her alma mater which she had said had a very fine music department (now known as the University of North Texas) and where she had received her masters in music.  I majored in music there just as she had.  Jumping ahead in time, in these later years, I so much enjoyed visiting her and often eating lunch with her at her assisted living facility or even at her house.  She was a fine gardener and loved plants and flowers and so do I.  I just wish I had more of her green thumb!  She was a sweetheart and will be greatly missed by me and all who knew her.  I'll see her in heaven one day! 

Aunt Ruby Dale loved animals. She had a special way with them. They were attracted to her. Bow loved her. 

I was one of Ms. RUBY Caretakers...A beautiful soul inside out. You will be Missed ❤

I remember  best Ruby’s fabulous bean pot and eggplant meals.and parched peanuts.I also admire how she liked to laugh a lot and had a very strong faith and trust in God and was very kind and loving toward me and anyone she would come in contact with and she had many friends and was loved by many.
