Stan was born in Denver, Colorado to Herb and Dorothy Larson on August 25th, 1936. His first two best friends were his younger brothers, Don and David. Stan passed away on September 26th, 2020 at the age of 84 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Stan received his Masters Degree in Statistics from the University of Denver. He then started his 32 year career in the airline industry working for Frontier Airlines, New York Air and International Aviation and Travel Academy.
Stan welcomed his children, Lars and Pippa into the world and they shared many fun memories together. He met the love of his life, Ketty, in 1988 and spent 32 happy and adventurous years together. With this marriage, he also welcomed his stepchildren, Harvey and Michelle, to his family. Stan enjoyed traveling the world with Ketty. He was a true outdoorsman and spent much of his time snow skiing, hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, golfing, camping, biking and running. Stan completed 5 marathons; Phoenix, Cowtown, Dallas, San Francisco and New York City. He played the piano and loved to sing. Stan’s great sense of humor was shared with family, friends and strangers alike. He was playful and loved to make people laugh. Stan lived life well and to the very fullest, finding joy in all things.
Stan will be missed by his wife, Ketty Larson; son, Lars Larson; daughter, Pippa Ibold; son, Harvey Trott; daughter, Michelle Hawthorne; granddaughter, Sydney Larson; brothers Don Larson and David Larson; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
