

Terry Lynn Smith, age 65, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2025. Born
on December 21, 1960, to Omie Zell Smith and Earl Smith, Terry was a beloved son,
husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend whose presence
will be deeply missed.
Terry received his formal education through the Fort Worth Independent School District,
later continuing his studies at the North Texas Job Corps, where he earned his General
Education Diploma along with vocational training in Brick Masonry and Painting. A man of
strong work ethic and skill, he was employed for many years at Reed's Auto as a Car Starter
Builder, admired for his dedication, reliability, and craftsmanship.
Terry accepted Christ at a young age, a foundation that guided his life. He was a member of
Christland Missionary Baptist Church, formerly under the leadership of Rev. Robert Wingham and currently under Pastor Alvin Marshall. His faith, humility, and kind spirit were evident in the way he loved and cared for others.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Phyllis Smith, his children, Terri White, Terrance Smith, and Teresa Murchison; along with 12 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. He also leaves to mourn his memory Melissa Murchison, mother of Teresa.
He is survived by his siblings Roy Lee Jackson, Fredrick Jackson, Dwayne Smith, Roy Smith, Gloria Henry, Hattie Solomon, and Linda Brown.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Omie Zell Smith and Earl Smith, his daughter, Alicia White, and his siblings, Larry Jackson, Dwight Smith, L.D. Smith, Charles Smith, Doris Caddell, Deborah Jackson, and Dorothy Mitchell - all of whom he now joins in eternal
peace.
As an uncle, Terry held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warm smile, jokes, and the love he shared generously.
Terry will always be remembered as the life of the party-full of laughter, joy, and excitement. Whether enjoying holiday dinners, spending time with family, or cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, his presence lit up every room. He will truly be
missed.
His legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will forever live in the hearts of a host of relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
