Born in Glendale, California, Tim served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, exploring the open roads he loved so much.
Tim had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He enjoyed fishing, rock ’n’ roll music, fast cars, and technology. A collector of tiki glassware and a lover of strong coffee, he also embraced Norse spirituality — drawn especially to runes, ravens, and the stories of Odin. Tim had the soul of a joker and was always ready to share a laugh, a story, or a good tune.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zettie May Cannon; father, James Arthur Johnson; stepfather, Ted Cannon; sisters, Karen Elliott and Janet Johnson; and half-brother, Tracy Cannon.
Tim is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Johnson of Fort Worth; his son, Heath Johnson; his daughters, F. Michelle Epple and Rachel Jarlsberg; his stepdaughters, Pattie Domenech and Paige Chestnut; his half-brother, Guy Cannon; and his grandchildren: Zachary, Quentin, Autumn, Abby, Olivia, Cole, Emery, and Addy. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family members.
A private memorial was held on June 7, 2025, in Godley, Texas. Military honors were rendered by the United States Army, with members of American Legion Post 516 and the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders in attendance. It was a beautiful day of remembrance, celebration, and healing.
Tim’s spirit lives on in the memories he helped create, the roads he traveled, and the love he gave in his own way. He will be missed and remembered always.
