

Wanda Ruth Dupler passed away in North Richland Hills on November 28, 2014 after a year-long battle with cancer. Born December 23, 1936 in Lawton, Oklahoma, Wanda graduated from Cache High School in 1955 and married Daniel L Dupler of Cache that same year. After Daniel’s service in the Air Force, the couple settled in Irving Texas where they raised three children. Wanda was an Interior Decorator and owned Irving Drapery and Interiors from 1985 until retirement in 1996 when the couple moved to a rural property near Hugo, Oklahoma. There, Wanda volunteered her time to many community and civic projects. She was Vice President of the Choctaw Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, volunteered with the Choctaw County Historical Society’s Frisco Depot Museum, the Choctaw County Coalition’s annual Trash-Off, Choctaw County Arts Council and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. They moved to North Richland Hills in 2011 to be nearer their two sons. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Edith Watts and sister Marie Maxwell. She is survived by her husband, Daniel of North Richland Hills, daughter R Lynn Kirby of Woodstock, Georgia, sons Roger A Dupler of Hurst, Texas and Phillip B Dupler of Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren David Kirby of Marietta, GA, Sarah Schambach of Marietta, GA, Kristen Sawberger and Mark Dupler of Hurst, great-grandchildren Caleb and Levi Sawberger of Hurst, siblings Opel Crow of Tucson, Arizona, Velva Thomas of Cache, OK, Marilyn Johnson of Tucson, Arizona and Clyde Watts of Cache, OK. Visitation will be held 6:00pm Tuesday, December 2nd at Shannon Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Watauga, Texas. A graveside service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, December 3rd at the Cache Cemetery in Comanche County, Oklahoma.
