Wayne Samuel Fisher, 68, of Fort Worth passed away Monday, June 1, 2015. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. He was born in Hartford, Conn., on May 29, 1947, to Samuel Joseph Fisher and Marvene Elizabeth Salls. Wayne graduated from East Granby High School in 1965. Wayne worked in financial accounting for the federal government for 25 years. He was a member of the JMSL Neighborhood Association for over 30 years and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a longtime survivor of prostate cancer. He served in the United States Navy from 1965-1971. He received several medals and commendations, including two Bronze Stars. Survivors: Longtime friend, Jimmy Hodges; sisters, Beverly Savoy, Jeanne Savoy, Patricia Green, Nancy Roger and husband, Mark, and Jana Fisher; brothers, Freddie and Jeffery; several nieces and nephews; and pup, Raja.
