Bud grew up in Cleburne, Abilene and Stephenville. He attended John Tarleton Agricultural College before being called to Military Service. After returning from World War II, Mr. Casstevens moved to Fort Worth and soon started working the steel industry as a purchasing agent for Gorbett Brothers Tank Manufacturing Company for a number of years before joining J&M Steel Company. After retiring from J&M Steel, Mr. Casstevens was able to focus on playing golf, volunteering at Harris Southwest Hospital, and being a loving grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Casstevens, his brother Casey, and his parents G.L. and Lillian Casstevens.
He is survived by one son, William, wife Teresa and their daughter Audrey, and his sister, Johnavie Porter.
