Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Derby Vandiver, sons William D, Jr and wife Elke of Panama City Beach, Florida, James (Bo) and wife Becky of Louisa, Kentucky, Daughter Wendy Hancock (Ben) of Georgetown, Kentucky, step son Jarrett Riggs and wife Lori of Richland Hills, Texas, brother Dan (Boone) and wife Marcia of Fayetteville, Ohio, sister Donna Merkle and husband Tony of Walton, Kentucky, sister-in-law Mary Vandiver of Covington, Kentucky, sister in law Dorothy Caples and husband Bearl of Lindsey, Texas, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents. William J and Wilda (Walker) Vandiver, brothers Robert(Bobby) and David Vandiver.
As per his request, a memorial service will be held at Shannon Funeral chapel February 27, 2024. Another memorial service will be held in Kentucky in May.
