A son of the late Paul Butler and Marie (O’Callahan) Hafford and step-son of the late Jack Hafford, he was the devoted father of Joan DiCenso and her husband Carlo of Framingham, Paul Butler and his wife Ying of N. Attleborough, and Brian Butler of Marlborough; loving brother of Robert Butler and his wife Teresa of Waltham, Marie Leombruno and her husband Louis of Peabody, Elaine Olivieri and her husband Richard of W. Newton, Eileen Flynn and her husband Kevin of Wayland, and the late Jack Butler.
Paul is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the former husband of June F. Valenti of Watertown, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
