

After a valiant attempt to fight cancer Alben Warf has left this plane of existence for the next. Born in Philadelphia, PA (Go Birds!) Preceded in death by his parents Alben W. and Barbara Vaggott Warf and his son Anthony Hill. Al is survived by his kid brother Wes & Jen Warf, his daughter Liza and beloved grandsons Vincent and Zander Conklin.
As a young child Al lived in Matewan, West Virginia with extended family. After moving to Ohio he lived in Cincinnati (Go Reds!) and Beavercreek, graduating from Beavercreek High School in 1976. He attended The Ohio State University. (Go Bucks!) Al worked as a computer programmer doing contract work for WPAFB before starting his own company Dalen Associates and later a different venture Urban Village Renovations.
Al was a true Daytonite. He was a regular at Canal Street Tavern for many years. He was known for being up on the new music and always supported local artists, befriending many. He threw great parties with great sangria and made sure everyone tried the family clam dip recipe.
He collected hobbies like he collected friends. He played and watched all kinds of sports, especially Football. He loved hiking and backpacking and shared that passion with generations of his family and friends. He loved to read and watch campy sci fi movies. A last hurrah is planned on March 14 at Al's house at 5:00 PM. He was dearly loved , and will be deeply missed.
