

Ashley graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School in 2002,and recently completed her lengthy education receiving her Master's Degree from LSU. She served in the US Air Force for 12 years and was a practicing trauma therapist.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Wade Pennington; her sons, Deklan Pennington, Liam Pennington; her daughter, Lauren Pennington; her mother, Vicki Smith; her father and stepmother, Rickey Allen (Anna) Smith; her sisters, Nicole (Shawn) Jones, Amanda (Ryan) Powell, Chelsey Smith; Gabrielle White. Her grandmother, Mary Lou Seese; her mother-in-law, Joyce Pennington. Animal Companions Domino, Diesel, Yoshi, Luna, Donald, and Cookie; Nieces and Nephews, Shelby, Corey, Malaina, Kyleigh, Preston, Lydiah, Logann, Reese, Brently, Asher and Olyvar.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret Smith, her grandfathers, Wilbur Smith, Willis Seese; her father-in-law, Denzil Pennington.
Ashley was the beloved wife of Wade and the proud mother of two boys and one daughter, Deklan, Liam and Lauren, who were her greatest joy. Ashley cherished her children deeply, always offering unwavering support and boundless love. She took immense pride in Deklan, Liam and Lauren ensuring they always felt her affection and encouragement. Ashley was known for her intelligence and spirited personality. Her sharp wit and sassiness brought joy and laughter to those around her. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing her with strength. Her family will forever remember her as a beacon of love and warmth and faith. She was known for her boundless friendliness and generosity. She never knew a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm smile. She was always willing to listen and offer help or advice. Her genuine kindness and infectious enthusiasm made a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Throughout her life Ashley dedicated herself wholeheartedly to every endeavor. Whether it was her career in trauma therapy or involvement in veterans mental health organizations, she gave her all consistently going above and beyond. She loved fine dining, reading, a good charcuterie board, wine, Starbucks and stopped at every new coffee shop she passed. She took pride in her and her families dedication to the military. Ashley often felt like she was born in the wrong era. She had a deep passion for the WWII pin ups style which she embraced with flair and elegance. Her unique sense of style and vibrant personality were a testament to her individuality and zest for life.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N Main St, Springboro, OH 45066, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. with Military Honors and Pastor Neil Williams officiating.
