Barbara "Gwen" DeLay

Barbara "Gwen" DeLay, age 69, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at The Atrium Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Baltimore, MD on September 12, 1955, the daughter of the late Bill and Elsie (Carter) Thomas. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Eagle and a sister, Jeanne Triplett.

Gwen is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Rich DeLay; her children, Brad (Chrissie) Lorton, Jessica (Tim) Steinman, Lori (Mark) Rogers, Ashley (Shaun) Hoskins; her siblings, William (Joyce) Thomas, Patricia (Allen) Boggs, Mike Thomas, Thomas (Fran) Thomas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren.

Gwen was a graduate of Fairview High School, Class of 1973 and was employed for 40+ years with the various subsidiaries of Keystone Tyson Foods as the Regional Account Manager for McDonald's.

Most known for her bright smile and contagious laugh, Gwen enjoyed gardening, travel and the beach but most especially loved being with Rich and her family.

A Celebration of Gwen's Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8,2025, at Conover Hall, 285 Conover Drive, Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Laura Saunders officiating. The family will receive visitors at the time of the service.
