Betty Sue Keys, age 76, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2026, at Kettering Health Hospital. She was born on October 26, 1949, in Sevierville, Tennessee, to the late William and Tressie Keys (Koontz).
Betty was a proud graduate of Miamisburg High School and the KMS of Greater Ohio, where she earned her credentials and followed her passion to become a hairstylist. Alongside her beloved sister Shirley, Betty co-owned Designs Unlimited, a place where friendships were formed, stories were shared, and everyone left feeling a little more cared for than when they arrived.
Betty was a truly kind and generous soul. Helping others came naturally to her, and she never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share a smile. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to country music, enjoying her favorite TV shows, and cheering enthusiastically during NASCAR races for Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Ryan Blaney. Betty also loved shopping, and purchasing Betty Boop items, always finding happiness in the thrill of the hunt and the joy of treating herself or others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Ann Rogge.
Betty leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved her, including her husband, David Robbins; step-son, James (Paige) Robbins; grandchildren, Cheyanne Wendel and Hayden Robbins; nephew, Brad (Amy) Hunt, and their children, Tyler and Chase Hunt; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle heart, her generous spirit, and the love she so freely gave. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor a life beautifully lived.
