Betty J Peters

Betty J. Peters, age 86, of Carlisle, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at The Winfield at Middletown at 3:56 AM. Born in Corbin, Kentucky on September 2, 1939, she was one of 9 children born to the late Steven & Ola Iva (Engle) Cox. Betty graduated from Whitley County High School in Corbin, KY, class of 1957. Betty loved to have all her family around her for family dinners and holidays. Betty truly enjoyed going out with "the party animals" and getting lunches and going shopping. She always had a well-stocked kitchen, and Betty always made sure that no one left hungry. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and so much more to those who knew her, she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward Leroy Peters: son Jeffrey Peters: grandsons Alexander Peters; Cody Ritchie.

Survived by her children Jerry & Amy Peters; Jatina & Tim Ritchie: grandchildren Stephanie & Zach Vesper; Brittany & Alex Halovanic; Jacob Peters; Ashton & Travis Burtrum; James & Paige Ritchie; Justin Ritchie: great-grandchildren Laerke, Abigail, Molly and Wyatt: nieces Julie & Jim Brossart and family; Suzanna & Mike Humbert and family: special friend Eileen Wallace.

Friends may call on the family Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home Franklin, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, OH 45005. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jimmy Anderson presiding. Burial to follow at Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin, OH.
