Charles Marvin Bailey

The family of Charles Bailey is sad to announce his passing on August 25, 2025, at his home in Carlisle at the age of 84. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 7, 1940 to Robert Bailey and Goldie (Gibbs) Bailey. After graduating from Carlisle High School in 1958, he served four years in the United States Air Force stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. He worked at EG&G Mound, formerly Monsanto, from 1963-1992. Charles loved the outdoors and was a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He also enjoyed putting together photo albums of his loved ones and studying genealogy.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie; his father, Robert; and his sister, Beverly. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sharon; daughter, Kimberly (Charlie) Everhart; son, Michael (Candy) Bailey; granddaughters, Jennifer (Andy) Fleming and Madison Bailey; great-grandchildren, Ethan James Fleming and Eva Joy Fleming; sister-in-law, Claudia Hahn; nieces Lori (John) Fracek and Kristin Hahn; and his two beloved cats, Smudge and Ma-Ma.

Funeral Services are 1pm Tuesday September 2, 2025 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
