Charles A. Nixon, age 79, of Middletown, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 26, 1935 in Middletown, the son of William Nixon and Prudence Fink Nixon. Charles worked for AK Steel. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Risner Nixon; two daughters, Beth Nixon of Melbourne, FL and Lori Buddy Cobb of Monroe, OH; one son, Chuck Suratshanee Nixon of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Rachel Brooks of Trenton, OH, James Cobb of Middletown, OH, Rebecca Michael Proffitt of San Antonio, TX; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Logan; and two sisters, Rosemarie Shelley of Middletown, OH and Ruthanne Ronald Hartbarger of West Elkton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Nixon. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Harbarger officiating.
