

Daniel graduated from Stebbins High School, received a Bachelor and Masters degree from Bowling Green State University, studied at The Ohio State University and Otterbein University. He performed at Cedar Point and Busch Gardens during the summers of his college experience. He had an extensive career including singing, directing, instructing, mentoring, playing, recording and much more. He poured himself into every person he encountered with musical excellence and a profound amount of personal encouragement. He was an instrumental part of the Sinclair Community College music department for over 33 years as Professor of Music in vocal performance. Daniel’s intense and exuberant faith in God inspired hundreds to be the best they could be personally and professionally. He attended Miamisburg Assembly of God, where he assisted musically in many ways and notably directed selections from Handel’s Messiah in 2019.
Preceded in death by his mother Laura M. Greene, brother James R. Greene Esq III and nephew Aaron Michael Cox. He is well loved by his father James Russell Greene Jr., sisters Z. Denise Greene, Laura M. Cox (Brent), Arlene B. Ruffin (Don) and sister-in-law Jackie Greene; brothers Joseph T. Greene (Andrea), Andrew D. Greene (Stephanie), Philip S. Greene (Jennifer Towns), best friend Tim Minton; nieces Imani N. Perkins (Tim), Rachel D. Greene, Jasmine Solis (Mario), Aryonna Greene, Tarah Curp, and nephews Jesse A. Cox (Maggie), David N. Cox (Theresa), Julian Ruffin, Andrew D. Greene Jr., Jared Ruffin, Jordan Greene, Joshua Greene, Isaiah Greene, Nathan Greene, Elijah Greene and Hayden Greene.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Miamisburg Assembly of God Church, 501 N. Ninth Street, Miamisburg, Ohio, 45342.
Additional Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek, Ohio.
