

Daniel R Johnson passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 13th 2026 from a heart attack. Dan was born May 8th, 1961 and was a life long resident of Germantown. Dan had a successful career in the Plastic’s Industry. He started right out of high school an as injection molding operator and was soon promoted to job setter, then supervisor. In 1997 he was promoted to plant manager of Plasco. He left there to take a job at Green Tokai in Research and Development. He designed a new method of injecting nitrogen into plastic moldings. This was patented by Green Tokai naming Dan as the inventor. Dan traveled for years for his companies including Japan, Austria, Germany, and France. He retired as a Senior Processing Engineer from Valeo in 2018. He enjoyed 8 peaceful years of retirement spending time with his family and traveling, although his home was his favorite place to be. Dan was a loving father and husband. He is preceded in death by his father Edward, his mother Deloris, and brother Doug. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Karrie. His three children Brian (Meghan), Danielle (Drake), and Ben (Marissa), one granddaughter, Melody Joy and another granddaughter, Nora Jean, due in October.
The family will receive visitors at the Anderson Funeral Home-Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026. A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family.
