David was a graduate of Sherwood-Delaware H.S. and a 1961 graduate of Miami University. He was an avid and proud follower of the university and its Miami Redskins. David was a member of Alpha Delta Phi, as well as Delta Sigma Pi and Beta Alpha Psi business fraternities.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. David also worked as an accountant for the U.S. Civil Service until his retirement in 1998.

David’s interests included World War II history, Springboro history, genealogy, and photography. He was a member of the Springboro Historical Society and was active in the First Christian Church in Franklin. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great -grandfather who adored his family. He will be greatly missed by them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Kratzer. David will be missed by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Betsey Miller; children, Susan Kratzer, Daniel (Julie) Miller and Melissa (Jamie) Renner; grandchildren, Josh, Jacob and Logan Grace Miller and Laura Jane Renner; great-granddaughter, Marley Miller; brother, John (Shirley) Miller; sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Vorbau and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2016, from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main St., Springboro, Ohio. Funeral services are Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jamie Renner officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
