Donald Hedges

Donald Hedges, age 91, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his residence. Donald was born June 26, 1931 in Middletown, OH to the late Christos and Effie Nancy (Brooks) Hedges.

Donald graduated from high school and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed with AK Steel for 38 years and Bond Machine for 22 years retiring in 2017. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, playing golf and working in his flower beds.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Hedges, Robert Hedges; and his sister, Gloria Lemons. Donald is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jean (Griffin) Hedges; his son, William Robert Hedges; his daughters, Kathy Hedges, Donna Pruett; his grandchildren, Kimberly Pruett Natale, Aaron Pruett (Heather Taylor); his great grandchildren. Ryan Natale, Reid Natale, Tyler Pruett, Tristian Frieszell and Becca Frieszell.

A Memorial Service will be 6pm Sunday September 18, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH with Celebrant Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home followed by military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton or The Veterans Administration.
