

Dorothy May Netherly Tucker, 87, of Monroe, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Terrace View Gardens. Born on February 26, 1927, in Middletown, Ohio, Dorothy attended high school at Lemon-Monroe and later finished her education to receive her diploma in 1977. She was the only female banana packer in the United States while living in Baltimore, Maryland, where she married the late Dominic Albi. While in Baltimore she met and married her second husband, James A. Tucker, and then moved to Bethany, Ohio. She was always busy with projects, enjoyed refinishing furniture, cleaning houses, and liked to travel. She also enjoyed music, writing songs, and singing at the church she attended, Bethany United Methodist Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Stella Helton Netherly, her husband James A. Tucker, her siblings William, Ruth, Corbett, Daniel, and Cecil, her son Howard Albi, and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Albi. She is survived by her sister Drucilla, four children: Jimmy Sue Albi of Middletown, Ohio, Lonnie Albi of Rochester, New York, Gary Melissa Tucker of Winterset, Iowa, and Karen Tony Schroeder Silber of Cincinnati, Ohio; twelve grandchildren: Shelly David, James Tammy, Maria Earsil, Jonathan, Casey, Luke, Courtney, Isaac, Emily, Samuel, Adelyn, and Rachel; eight great-grandchildren: Megan, Allison, Jeremy, Chelsey, Kalli, Gabrielle, Christina, and Aaron, along with four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, January 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown, Ohio. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Monday, January 5th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Bowdle officiating. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
