Kay, I was very sad to see the news about Phil. I was one of the nurses in the Family Practice Center when Phil was a resident. He will always be remembered as very kind to his patients, and ready with his winning smile. We had some memorable times during those three years which I will cherish .Remember to lean on your wonderful friends and family during these hard times and look back at the years of joy you shared. Kay, Hi from part of the st. e's er family, I was Dr. Wards unit clerk in the emergency room for all the years of his service there. I was saddened to hear of his death. As I read about him, I thought back to all the fond memories of the xmas parties we had. I remember you amp; carol williams so fondly, we danced amp; laughed while the hubbies would stand back along the wall an watch. My heart aches for you at this time, I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers, I read of your large family amp; wonderful friends. Lean on them my friend. Most of all always remember you are thought of with love at this time of saddness. May god always hold you in his arms amp; always remember to lean on him in your time of saddness.

Dear Kay, I know I speak for all the members of the Greater Dayton UK Alumni Club when I tell you how sad I was to see Phil's obituary in the Dayton Daily News this morning. He - and you - have been special members of our club for so many years! We have missed having both of you at our functions as you struggled with Phil's cancer. If there is anything any of us can do to help you, please let me know. I will not be able to attend the memorial service on Saturday, but look forward to hopefully seeing you at the Derby party in May. We have a microphone with your name on it! Dear Kay, God not only has a great physician, but also a wonderful man in the person of Phil Ward. Our times at UK functions will be cherished forever.
