

Florence L. Webster, age 95 of Mt. Pleasant, Monroe, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at The Atrium Medical Center. She was born in New Burlington, Ohio, April 29, 1917, the daughter of Martha and Carl Huston. She was a graduate of Middletown High School in 1936. During World War II, she worked in the Research Department at Armco. Florence was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church as a deacon, and active for many years in the Deborah Circle. She was an active member of the Guided Study Club for 27 years. She volunteered in the gift shop at the Middletown Hospital. Florence enjoyed reading, gardening and playing Bridge.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry R. Webster and Joan Stouck Webster of Storrs, Connecticut; two daughters, Tracy Shelly and Robyn Weekes; grandchildren, Jennifer Webster Goulart of Massachusetts, Melissa, Sarah, Marjorie, Brian and Gary Weekes; and a great grandson, Lucas Goulart. Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard S. Webster in 1995.
There will be no visitation. Private entombment will be in Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, April 18, at the Mary H. Kittredge Chapel, Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village, Monroe, Ohio.
