Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years Sharon Smith; daughter Renee and her husband William Sterling Pelky; sister Sue Cressler and sister Ann (Phil) Riley; nephews James and Jon Cressler, Scott Riley; niece Lori Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Lucille Watts.
Gary was a great man, husband, dad, and a friend. Gary always cherished the time he spent with his daughter, Renee, as they always had their own adventures as she was growing up; he was her hero. He loved his family, especially his sisters, and his dear wife.
He loved the outdoors, baseball, horse racing, and football. His favorite teams were Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Arizona Diamondbacks. He was the Chief of Medical Records at the VA, and loved everyone he worked with. Gary was a fighter. He was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 3 pm until 5 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, in Franklin. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Gary to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
