Many knew and called George "Hot Shot" because of his motorcycle racing days. He got this nickname on Route 4 from a club he went to. Orin Wells challenged George out for a race. Orin Wells had a Harley Bearcat racer where George had a 39 Indian Bonneville, and the race was on! George won the race. His bike was way faster. At Orin Wells' Motorcycle Shop, people would ask Orin, "we heard that your Bearcat Racer got beat in a race. Who beat the Bearcat Racer? What was his name?" Orin would say, "I don't know, some "Hot Shot" from Franklin." From that point on, everyone called George "Hot Shot."
George retired from Monsanto "Mound" in Miamisburg, Ohio, as a skilled Draftsman.
Hot Shot had a very big, warm heart, and was kind and loving to everyone. His very best, earthly friend that he loved dearly was his pet Parrot, "Rocky." He was a great story-teller, and what stories he had! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
