Gerald Stanley Wright, age 67, of Carlisle, Ohio, after a six year battle with cancer, passed away Tuesday January 12, 2016 at home. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 5, 1948 to Chester and Etta (Strunk) Wright. Gerald was a sergeant in the U. S. Army for 3 years serving in Germany. He was employed with General Motors for 31 years and retired in 1997. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Milton Wright, mother, Etta Mae Wright. Gerald is survived by his wife of 17 years Betty Wright; sister, Phyllis Ryan; brother, Lowell (Claire) Wright; son, Gerald Scott Wright and his mother Teresa Wright; step daughter, Erica Kiniyalocts; step son, Greg Payne; and extended loving family. Funeral services are 11am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Church at Mayfield 3311 Burbank St. Middletown, OH with Pastor Brian Cox officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
