Hugo H. Schumacher, 83 of Monroe, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born April 24, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hugo was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a member of the East Wind Association. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marianne Mende Schumacher; his son, Hugh Schumacher of Salem, Oregon; and his daughter, Christy Lynn Thorton of Seattle, WA. Donations can be made to the Mt.
