

Jerry D. Brickley, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2026 at Hospice of Butler-Warren County in Franklin, Ohio. He was born on July 25, 1937 in Plumtree, Indiana to Dwight and Ruby Brickley, the youngest of seven children. He went to school in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio graduating from Springboro High School in 1955. He completed his education. graduating from the University of Cincinnati in June 1972, after 10 years of night school.
He was employed at Armco for 39 years starting in the plant and finishing in the main office as a Supervisor in Transportation. After 1 1/2 years of retirement, a trucking company called and offered him a job and he worked there five years then retired again. He also was an administrator at Ridgeville Community Church where he and Janice had attended since 1971.
He was an avid fan of the Indy 500 and was so thrilled to actually attend one, a special gift from his wife, Janice. He also enjoyed anything pertaining to airplanes. He served six years in the Ohio Air National Guard. The Air Force Museum in Dayton was his favorite place to go! Loved the Air Shows in summer! His other hobby was doing yard work, planting flowers, making new plant beds, anything to be outside!
He married Janice Yocum Hollon in July, 1972 with whom he enjoyed 53 plus years. He is survived by Janice, brother Earl (Shirley) Brickley, son Rick (Sonja) Brickley and step son Kevin Hollon. Also, grandchildren – Jason Brickley, Heather (Matt) Konold, Kalee (Donnie) Williams, Allyson (Griff) Heft, and Lycia (Nate) Bond; great grandchildren- Dawson Paige Bond, Lily Alice Heft, Anderson Bond and Donnie Williams II, plus a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and spouses - Rickard Brickley, Robert (Priscilla) Brickley, Wilda (Francis) Holmes, Phyllis (Herman) Fiechter, Meleta (Bill) Eschbaugh and step son, Kent Hollon
Visitation will be April 13th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, Oh with service following at 1:00. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to New Freedom Church, 840 Miller Rd, Lebanon, OH 45036 or Hospice of Butler-Warren County.
