John Charles Crooks, age 72, of Springboro, passed away Friday December 29, 2017 at Sycamore Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 28, 1945 to John and Norma (Welby) Crooks. John served in the Navy during Vietnam War where he served on the USS Georgetown. He was employed with AK Steel for 37 years and retired in 2008. He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Rhoades and his parents. John is survived by his wife of 38 years Gladys M. Turull Crooks, two sons, Bradley (Natalye) Crooks and Dominic (Seleka) Crooks. Also three brothers, Larry, Jeffery and Kim Crooks and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday 1:00 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd. St. Franklin.
