John, we have known each other for over 20 years. I'll miss you my friend. I'll remember all the fun we had. Hanging out, playing D&D, going to the beach with all our friends & most of all the massive water fight we had at Fort Wetherill when we were teens. Thanks for the memories brother....

Well, here it is the end of June, and I'm just getting to this, late as usual..., John would have expected nothing less.

 Buddie we spent the better part of the last decade as good friends, I still think of you all the time, just heard a commercial about the Pats traing camp comming up, and I thought ..."Gotta call john..?" ....I miss you as do all of your other friends in many big life changing ways..., it's all the small ways that keep taking me by surprise. John I miss you my friend, so much more than I could have imagined, with out your humor & heart just a phone call away, I keep feeling like I've misplaced someting special I can't do without!

I loved you buddie, and I pray now I told you often enough, Missing you....

I just learned of John's passing on March 10th thanks to Rob. John V, John G (Gumby) and Rob were what we used to call the 3 Musketeers back in the day when we had our non-sports card store. They were always together and always such a treat when they came in. They each had their own personality and John V will always stand out as the one who tried to be the most responsible while still being a young man who loved fun. He didn't always succeed because he could also be like a kid in a candy store back in the day! 



I will treasure forever my memories of those 10 years with the store and seeing John. I will also be forever grateful for his help on the days when my disabilities made it impossible for me to run the place. He stepped right up and helped me immensely. 



To his widow and children I want to say that John was one of the nicest guys I could ever have hoped to meet and you were very fortunate to have had him in you life and that I am so sorry that you had such a short time together. He was loved by so many back here in RI and will be greatly missed.

I work for Elsevier in the London, UK office and while I never knew John personally, I did dealt with him on a regular basis by email. He was always more than happy to help me with any questions or requests I had. As I say, I never knew him persoanally, but always thought of John as quite simply, a really nice guy. My thoughts are with his family and friends and I am so sorry for your loss.

The first time I met John was at the Buyers Jamboree in Ohio April 2011. John and I first started to work together in Sept 11 and in the last few months we worked together daily as I moved to the Facilities category and he was showing me the way. 



John was a super colleague and is missed by us all. I'm so sorry that we will not have the chance to continue working together and I miss our chats and laughter. 



Sending my condolences to John's wife, his children and the rest of his family and friends. He may be gone but will never be forgotten.

I don't believe that I have ever met John but e was my cousin's husband. Erin, Kenny Kira and Tedra, I am sorry to hear of your fathers passing. May God bless you and keep you all in His care.

John Vick and myself performed in a show with Pastimes Players many years ago. The show was called the Robin Hood Faire in Gloucester, MA. This is when I got a chance to get to know him. He was always a great friend. Always there when you need him. The one memory I do have of him. John worked for a company called Eeldrytch Armouree. Him and Paul help me put leather pieces on my helm to pass inspection in the SCA. John got a change to work some patterns of Eeldrytch Armouree. Now when I where this helm I will always remember that John made it.

My memory of John is limited to our elevator ride during morning hours or sometimes when we were leaving. I always enjoyed my small talk with him. He was always smiling and in a good mood. May God rest his soul in peace and his family the courage to pass through this difficult times (Amen)

I met John about a year ago in Dayton OH at the Jamboree we had. He was very curious about the country I am coming from and especially Amsterdam had his attention. He wanted to visit the Netherlands sometime. Unfortunately he never will be able to do so. John I will miss you. You have been a great colleague. Ellen van Drunen Littel/Netherlands

I had the honor and pleasure of calling John my friend. I will miss his humor, having dinner with him and Ki, his quiet demeanor and integrity. It will be darker without you and the world has one less shining light.

Ki and all of John's family, John was truly a wonderful co-worker always very helpful and always looked for the best way to do anything. He helped me so much by training me and really advising me too. Each day his words ring in my ear and help me throughout my task. We miss him very much here at Reed Elsevier. My sincerest sympathies to his family. I feel lucky to have met him.

My favorite memory of John is the way he ceared out an apartment he owned up here in RI. The last tenants had left a bunch of stuff so he had a "smash and grab party" he invited a bunch of us over, got some beer and pizza, and we had a blast. If you saw something you wanted then you took it. If no-one took something it got thrown out a window into a dumpster. I will never forget the look on my daughters face throwing dishes out the window and listening to them break. We all had so much fun :) He was not with us very long but while he was it was a great time. Praying for everyone that knew him and hes family. RIP John

Even though we rarely talked, you were easily one of my favorite people. I'll miss you, John.

You can not help the family your born into. But Friends are the family you choose for yourself. John you were my Brother. We had so many adventures together, and so many yet to come. I will miss you fiercely.

I wish I had had more time on the road to have known him, but for the time I did have, he was a great friend, and always great company.

John was more than just a family member. John was my friend.

John you were such a good friend and touched the hearts of many. You would go far and beyond to help anyone, even if they didn't know you very well at the time. you would give someone the shirt off of your own back if it meant that they would not be cold. 

 and for the reasons here and many more we will always remember you and you will forever be in our hearts. Rest in Piece until we all meet again.

you will be missed terribly by all John. Your friendship was very special.

John once said that he was only being himself, and no one special. I told him he needed to accept the fact he was someone special. Sadly, I wonder if he ever knew how much he touched so many people. Thank you so very much for the memories, John! You are loved, you are missed, and you are amazing. Safe travels.
