One of my fondest childhood memories will always be driving with Aunt Joyce in her Beetle. Whenever we would see a farm with pigs she would tap the horn several times. It sounded like "Pig-pig-pig" and the pigs would always run for the feed trough. We had a lot of fun with Aunt Joyce in that Beetle.

Uncle Sam, Cousins Amy, Andy and Sam, I'm sorry I am not able to join you for the memorial service but I will be thinking about you all and my Aunt Joyce.

Joyce was such a sweet lady that touched my heart and Life. She will be missed by everyone in the Gift Shop. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone. It was with much sadness that I heard about Joyce's passing. Sadness, not because she went home, but because of all the loved ones left behind, though someday, we'll all be together again. She touched many lives, and I'm happy to  have known her and her family through the PROMISES group, and playing games such as Farkle and Rummicube with Japanese students. Lots of good memories. My heartfelt condolences go to her family. We'll miss you, Joyce. God bless you.

Joyce was an incredible loving person and never gave up her battle with cancer.  She was an example for all of us to follow.  Joyce is in a better
place now.  She will be missed by so many family members and friends, and her friends and associates at the hospital.  God be with her and her family during this difficult time.

Like my sister Judy Fabricio said .... Aunt Joyce was a fun loving person ... we all loved her very much ..

 I remember one time she came to visit before she got married .... we drove around in a pink Cadillac with the top down and Aunt Joyce would wave at people on the street .... at first Jackie and I were horrified that she'd wave at perfect strangers, but then we started laughing and joined in .... we had a great time!

I've visited Aunt Joyce and Uncle Sam so many times in our travels to Illinois .... those are all wonderful memories.

Aunt Joyce was a talented crafty person too ..... I'd like to say I inherited some of my name sake's talents..... thank you auntie

Joyce, my memories of you are quite different than most of the others I read here.  You see, I attended Madison High School, Class of 1967.  You and I didn't have much interaction, but I remember your kindness and professionalism.  I am thankful that I got to 'meet' you again a few months ago at the Hospital Gift Shop.  I volunteer for the Hospital now, as well.  I have always held you in high regard, and now you have received the highest reward for your endeavors . . . to spend eternity in Heaven with our Lord.  Well done.  Prayers to the Burnett Family for strength and healing.

Joyce Burnett was an incredible,  wonderful,  sweet,  loving Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews here in California.  I'm sure we all have such wonderful memories of her coming to visit us and when she did we had such good times. We would sing a lot in the car during our travels and she named us "Sissy and the clickers".  I have so many nice things around my home that she has made, therfore, I think of her daily. She was so talented. She was a great lady!! The Lord blessed us all to have had her here on earth as long as we did after being diagnosed. Joyce was one of kind Amy ! She and you all are family to us . I have so many found memories of her from all the stories Darrin has said about you and him growing up together , to when Darrin and I met , and our wedding , my veil she made , to the times her and Darlene were in the hospital gift shop together and I started doing my flowers for them there . So many times , I was there and she always had time to talk and listen as to what was going on with the Cook family . Her genuinely caring nature was always present whenever I saw her . She always wanted to know how everyone was and how they were doing . 
                I always was amazed by her beautiful and talented work she done with quilts and the other items she made . So absolutely Beautiful !! I always wanted to learn to quilt but never really have . I love quilts and your mom knew this and one time tried to teach me how to quilt . She said anyone can do it . After a while of meeting with her , I was having trouble sewing and wanted to quit . She said she would have my items there , when I wanted to try again . I remember saying I can’t do it , she encouraged me by saying maybe it wasn’t the right time for me to try . There will be another time . I will never forget the look in her eyes when she said you can do anything if you really want to . 
             Such , a caring and loving person and friend !  She will be greatly missed me and so many other . Love you Amy , hug and prayers my dear friend !!
