Joyce Anne Cole

Joyce Anne Cole, age 90 of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Sycamore Medical Center. Joyce was born in Franklin, Ohio on March 5, 1926 to the late Benjamin and Mildred (Murray) Cole.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Jane Fowler; first husband, Vince Fowler; second husband, Russell Hatton; sister, Linda Whitney.

Joyce was employed at Specialty Papers Co. as a secretary for 31 years and retired in February of 1990. She was a member of Linden Ave. Baptist Church in Dayton since 1961 and served as a secretary there from October of 1990 to 1993. She was known as being a people person and was loved by all that knew her. Joyce was an avid reader and history buff, she loved telling stories, dancing, and being in her garden. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her son, Terry (Kathleen) Fowler; three daughters, Melanie Charles, Jill (Herb) Lam, Tamea (James) Duckworth; sister, Sue Ellen Patton; three granddaughters, Brandy, Sonya, Melissa; three great grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, Cole and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street Franklin,Ohio with Pastor Pam Wantz officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm also at funeral home. Burial to follow in Woodhill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
