Juanita Jane Combs

She was a graduate of Franklin High School in 1950 and Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She worked for Dr. John Shartz until he retired. If you grew up in Franklin in the 1960's and 70's and went to Dr. Shartz, Juanita probably gave you a shot or two! She then became Director of Franklin Nursing Home, retiring from there to care for her husband, Wise. Juanita taught ceramic classes in her home for years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wise Combs, a brother, Jeff Monk, and two sisters, Geneva Crout and Jeanette Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her only daughter Elizabeth (Libby) Reynolds, and her only grandson, Michael Reynolds.

She is survived by a brother, Jean (Marty) Monk, of Indiana, a sister, Shirley Monk (Seldon) Smith of Tucson, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday March 21 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin Ohio 45005, at 1 pm. Visitation will be 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment at Woodhill Cemetery.
