Lafayette "Fate" Holcomb

Lafayette “Fate” Holcomb, age 74 of Middletown, passed away Sunday evening in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was born in Millstone, Kentucky August 7, 1942, the son of Willie T. Holcomb and Edna Mae (McCray) Holcomb. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

Fate is survived by his daughter, Tammy Holcomb; a son, Shane (wife, Kimberly) Holcomb; step son, Jerry (wife, Vickie) Cornett; five grandchildren, Garrett, Skylar, Addisyn, Dillon and Tara; a great granddaughter, Alaina; his sister, Sue Bair; and three brothers, Archie Holcomb, Wes (wife, Mary) Holcomb, and Claude (wife, Sandy) Holcomb. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mae McCarthy and Cora Davis; brothers, Clyde, Prince F., John, Lonnie and Philip.

Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Friday, November 25 at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Mike Trimble officiating. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery with military honors by the U. S. Army.
