Mr. Dunlap was always kind and helpful to us as neighbors and friends.  I truly appreciate knowing the Dunlaps and the example they set for me as a child and an adult.  Always a smile and helping hand.  My deepest sympathies and love for Mrs. Dunlap his sweetheart and his wonderful girls.  Jennifer and Jeanette your dad appreciated all your help and concern but didn't want to bother you, it's just like them.  "We can handle it,"  I think it was what they would say.

Lit a candle in memory of Leman Leo Dunlap

When the family in Scotland heard that Dorothy was marrying an American, there was some trepidation, I suppose. After all, America, as we called it, was so far away in those days, before the days of cheap flights. We needn't have worried. When Dorothy and Leman visited Scotland a few years later with their lovely daughters, we all realised what a perfect match they were for each other and we welcomed him Into our family. Over time there have been many visits to Edinburgh, Leman's last one being with his entire family. He was a wonderful man and we'll miss him too.  My prayers are with Dorothy, Jennifer and Rick, Jeannette and Greg, Jim and Jessica, Jill and John.  God bless you all.

Dear Dorothy and Family,

What a great picture of Lee.  It shows how happy he was in life as he went about his many community projects volunteering tirelessly.  In serving on the Middletown High School class of 1950 reunion committee with him for several years, I learned how he gave of his time and kept on giving and volunteering.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family for comfort as you will go on remembering his love for all of you.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He exemplified the "Service Above Self" requirement of Rotary service in his professional and personal life.  He will be truly missed by us all.
