

Marion Clinton Taylor, 76, of Trenton, OH, departed this world forever to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. He passed in North Port, Florida after a sudden illness. Born in Beattyville, KY in 1935 to Reverend Willie and Daisy Center Taylor and married Elaine Burgher in 1956. Marion and Elaine had just returned to their condo in North Port after recently celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary in Cancun, Mexico for a week with all of their children and their spouses, creating many wonderful memories. He retired in 1990 from AK Steel after 37 years. He was the Traffic Administrator in the Traffic/Purchasing Department. He was a 1952 graduate of Lee County High School and obtained a Certificate in Traffic Management from University of Cincinnati. Marion was a Kentucky Colonel and member of Lincoln Lodge #693 F.&A.M. since 1962. He was a faithful member of Yankee Road First Church of God and loved the fellowship of the congregation. He was an avid sports fan and a very dedicated UK Wildcat fan. He could hardly wait for basketball season to begin. He loved tending his garden and maintaining his lawn. Marion was a devoted and loving husband and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Burgher; daughters, Janet Galeese James, Donna Maiden and Sheila Taylor; sons, Randall Taylor Lori and Alan Taylor special friend Martin Howard; 7 grandchildren, Joey and Jessica Galeese, Amy and Chris Maiden, Leigh Anne, Lauren and Lexie Taylor; brother, Bill Taylor Helen; brother-in-law, Doug Burgher Anna; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Farris, Patti Bob Spurlock and Shirley Burgher; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Oneda Gilbert, Wanda Williams, and Virginia King. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Yankee Road First Church of God with Reverend Kevin Collins officiating. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM, Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum.
