

Franklin, Ohio – Marvin Douglas Perry, 78, died peacefully at Kettering Memorial Hospital on December 22, 2022, with his wife and daughter at his side. He was born on April 15, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Courtney and Kathleen Perry.
Marvin graduated from Franklin High School in 1964. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna Baker (Perry), in 1965. In total, they were blessed to be together for 61 years. They had one daughter, Karlea Perry and one granddaughter, Lindsey Brown, who were the lights of his life.
Marvin enjoyed carpentry and being outdoors. If he wasn’t building something, he was “gone fishing”. He and his wife, Donna, spent their retirement during the warm months at their cabin in London, Kentucky.
Marvin Perry was the most dedicated, faithful, and loving husband, father, and grandfather a wife, daughter, and granddaughter could ask for. His family was his first priority ALWAYS. He loved fiercely and unconditionally.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Courtney and Kathleen Perry, In Laws, Clarence and Ruby Baker, Brothers in Law, Tony Burns, Jim Worley and Edward Napier, Sister-in-law, Rita Napier and Nephew, Eric Worley and Ronnie Napier. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Perry); daughter, Karlea (Perry): Granddaughter, Lindsey Brown; Sisters, Linda (Burns) and Patty (Worley); Brother and Sister-in law, Randy and Sue Baker; Nieces, Julie (Burns) Cornelius , Melissa (Burns) Smith , Teresa (Worley) Zinck (Husband, Rodney), Jennifer (Baker) Moore (Husband, Nathan), Dawn Swoape (Husband, Austin); Nephews: Tony Burns (Wife, Miriam) Randy Napier and Danny Napier, Wesley Worley, Andrew Baker, Brandon Baker (Wife, Christina), Mitchell Johnson.
A celebration of Marvin’s incredible life will be held on Thursday, January 5, at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with service following immediately after. Marvin will be laid to rest in Butler County Memorial Park, in Trenton, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice for research and cures for COVID 19 or CLL – Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Because Marvin passed due to complications from COVID 19, Karlea has requested that everyone who will be in attendance wears a mask. She is taking all measures possible to protect her mother from this disease.
