

Our beloved mother, Mary Moon Hagan, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Atrium Hospital in Middletown, Ohio. She was born April 26, 1921 at the home of her grandfather, Dr. John E. Goodwin, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She lived most of her life in Middletown. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Everlie Kash and Eliza Rose Goodwin; husbands, Richard James Moon and John Joseph Hagan; daughters, Marna Hall and Judy Woods; infant daughter, Linda Rose Moon; and grandson, James Woods. She had been a resident of the Mount Pleasant Community for the last 12 years and was a well-known artist in the area. Our hearts are saddened and she will be greatly missed by her children, R. Michael Moon, Jonathan L. Moon, Beverlie M. Pogue; her sister, Jane Emery; and daughter-in-law, Beth Moon. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 12, 2013 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown.
