

Mary Ellen (née Cutshaw) Weber, 78, was born on Christmas Day 1947, and passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. Mary lived a life marked by strength, grace, resilience, and devotion to family. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend whose wit and humor, loving presence, and generous heart touched many lives.
Mary was born and raised in Elkhart, IN, graduated from Elkhart High School in 1966, and attended Indiana University-Vincennes and Miami University-Middletown, in pursuit of a degree in the Social Work field full-time while raising her family. She was a talented seamstress, and a valued colleague at the Catalog Ordering department of Sears before she was married and welcomed her two beloved sons, John Charles IV and Joseph Michael. She spent many happy weekends watching her boys play soccer and growing up to be fine young men.
In recent years, Mary was a resident of Herkins House in Lebanon, OH, and most recently resided at Bickford Assisted Living, Middletown, OH.
She is survived by her beloved sons, John Charles IV and Joseph Michael (Amy), who were the pride and joy of her life; two cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Madison, her beloved sister Jean Reid, nieces Anne Nelson and Ellen DiMarco, and numerous cousins and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, her wry sense of humor, and the quiet ways she showed up for those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Anderson Funeral Home – Springboro, with a memorial service held on Wednesday, March 4 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, https://www.nami.org.
